Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a business major (or be working on a degree to be received before the start of the MAIB program), or transcripts verifying a minor in business or equivalent courses. Applicants are also required to take the GRE or GMAT exam and submit those test scores. As the Study Tour is mandatory, students should ensure that they are in possession of a valid passport as soon as possible. Non-U.S. or E.U. students may also need to obtain a visa. Students participating in exchange programs pay UF tuition, and all credits earned apply to the MAIB degree. When investigating study abroad, remember to include cost of meals, housing, transportation, and any additional sight-seeing trips you may want to take.
Academic Ability
Applicants must have a 3.0 upper division undergraduate grade point average and a strong test score from either the GMAT or GRE (verbal + quantitative sections). The GMAT / GRE score can be no more than five years old. You must have a Bachelor's degree from an approved institution. We consider all applicants based on individual experiences and skills. There are no guaranteed admissions, these are the minimum requirements. See previous class profiles to determine how you will compare to the in-program students.
Class ProfilesPersonal Character
The applicant's written essays, resume, and recommendations provide the best opportunity to convey one's unique background, personality and ability to add to the diversity of the MAIB program. Involvement in extracurricular and community activities is also looked upon favorably since it provides additional insight into the interests, social awareness and leadership potential of the applicant. Applicant interviews are an integral part of the admissions process.
Professional Experience
The MAIB program does not require professional post-Bachelor's degree work experience. Applicants with extensive experience should also research the Florida MBA Programs.
MBA Program DetailsLaptop Computer Requirement

WCBA Laptop Computer Requirements (pdf)Orientation
Students are required to participate in a two day orientation (non-credit) during the week prior to the first day of classes for Summer B. The orientation is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to be successful in the MAIB program, with program overview and study abroad information sessions, presentations from Graduate Business Career Services, and a guest speaker session with MAIB alumni. It is required even for those students who previously attended the University of Florida.
