The recent compliance requirements (specifically those imposed by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act) require a greater understanding of information systems, and how it affects the audit of a company's financial records. Accounting students who seek a better understanding of information systems are strongly encouraged to complete the graduate ISOM minor.

Students who earn the ISOM minor will be recognized as having a basic background in information systems. The ISOM minor focuses on developing a technological understanding of the current issues as they relate to information systems/information technology. Over and above technology issues, students also obtain a basic understanding of decision models for managing information systems.

Students should complete the application below upon registering for the courses pertaining to the ISOM minor. Students declaring their intention to pursue the minor have priority in registering for the necessary courses.
