Recruiting

If you plan to hire one or more of our students, whether for a full-time position or summer internship, the most effective way to do so is through our on-campus recruiting process. You will be able to interview as many students as you wish Monday through Friday. We will work with you to set up a schedule that does not conflict with students’ class demands and is convenient for you.

Requests for interview dates are filled as they are received. Every effort will be made to give you your preferred date. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to confirm your interview date(s). Remember that all graduate business students must be registered with the GBCS prior to interviewing. Please advise any student(s) in which you have an interest of our policy and direct them to the GBCS for proper credentials.

When recruiting on campus, please remember to bring a business card for each student on your schedule and three cards for GBCS.

Type of Interview Schedules

OPEN SCHEDULE: This type of interview schedule will enable any student who meets your minimum criteria to sign-up for an interview. You will not have the option to screen the students.

PRESELECT SCHEDULE*: On a preselect schedule, you will provide us with your minimum criteria which will then enable only qualifying students to submit their résumé. Once the résumé submission deadline closes, résumés are sent for your perusal. After choosing your preferred candidates, we will notify the students of their status and ask them to sign-up for an interview.

SELF SCHEDULE: While not a common practice, some employers prefer to contact students themselves and arrange their own interview appointments.

RÉSUMÉ DROP: In the event that you would like to simply collect résumés from interested students, the GBCS can establish an interview schedule after collecting résumés which can then be e-mailed to you in a PDF file.

* Should you identify students that you would like to interview via Gator Graduate Career Day, or in one of the résumé books, please let Kristy know and she can easily add that student to your preselect list.
