QMB 5303: Introduction to Managerial Statistics (3)

Basic concepts and methods of probability and statistics, stressing applications in analyzing and solving business problems.

ISM 6128: Advanced Business Systems Design and Development I (2)

Object-oriented analysis and model specification for business software systems. Articulation of key requirements (data, processes, physical components, deployment) using logical modeling methodologies.

GEB 5214: Professional Writing in Business (2)

Written structure of memoranda, executive summaries, mission statements, marketing and SWOT analyses, product and management structure descriptions, marketing and business plans. Conventions and psychological principles governing reader preferences and assumptions.

QMB 6616: Business Process Analysis (3)

Critical business analytical approaches, including linear programming, project scheduling, waiting-line theory, and time-series analysis.

MAN 6586: Project Management (3)

This course is designed to convey principles, techniques and methods employed in order to be effective in managing projects; structuring project organizations; fundamentals of scheduling; time/cost trade-offs, budgeting and cost estimation; and monitoring.

ISM 6215: Business Database Systems I (2)

Fundamentals of data storage and retrieval models for business applications. Data modeling and database design principles. Theoretical foundations and exercises presented for relational data model and SQL.

MAN 6575: Purchasing and Supplier Relationship Management (3)

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts and tools applied in purchasing and supply chain management. Within the context of the purchasing function, emphasis will be placed on such topics as procurement cycle, information flows, supplier selection and internet procurement.

QMB 6693: Quality Management and Control Systems (2)

Philosophy of total quality management and technical aspects of quality design and measurement systems.

ISM 6222: Business Telecom Strategy and Applications I (2)

Survey of networking technologies used in WWW and e-commerce. TC/IP networks and related security, networking hardware, and Internet software standards.

ISM 6423: Data Analysis and Decision Support (2)

Overview of various solution methods for data analysis programs such as clustering, classification, and regression that occur in business decision making. How methods support decision making.

MAN 5501: Operations Management (3)

This course is deigned to provide an introduction to Operations Management (OM), which focuses on the design and control of productive systems within organizations.

MAN 6598: Logistics and Distribution Management (3)

This course is designed to learn how logistics and distribution consists of all the activities that enable a business to make its products available to consumers at convenient locations, in the required quantities, and at minimum cost to the company.

MAN 6619: International Logistics (3)

This course is designed as an introduction to the field of logistics planning and strategy, and on understanding the role of inventory by discussing key principles for managing inventory in supply chains.
