Please note that if you choose to deviate from the recommended curriculum, your graduation could be delayed due to time conflicts for the required courses.

When reviewing the track schedules shown above, it can be seen that students in either track are required to complete and additional 2-4 credit hours through electives. There are several choices for students to satisfy these elective credit hour requirements.
UF Courses: These can consist of required courses in the opposite track chosen; any graduate level course offered through the Warrington College of Business Administration; or a graduate level course from the following departments: Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics (courses from these other departments need prior approval of the ISOM Department).
Internships: There are two types of internship opportunities available to students:
- Off-Campus Corporate Internships: Students may register for a maximum of two credits to obtain credit for an off-campus internship during their program.
- On-Campus UF PeopleSoft Internship: Given that UF has implemented a state-of-the-art ERP system based on PeopleSoft with fully integrated financial, human resource and portal applications, the UF Bridges project collaborates with the ISOM Department in offering this internship opportunity to students.
All students seeking credit for either or both of these internship opportunities need to review the following documentation carefully.

Independent Study (QMB 6905): An independent study involved doing a project, such as a system design, website implementation or data analysis, for an agency at UF or outside UF. For these projects, the student should develop the proposal in cooperation with the person who will actually be supervising the work. The work supervisor will have to sign off on the project before the independent study starts, and eventually report on the student's performance. The instructor will then assign the grade for the course after he/she receives the report from the work supervisor. Please submit the following independent study application prior to registering for the independent study.
