Retailing Smarter Symposium

June 26 - 27, 2008

Each year the Miller Center offers an executive continuing education symposium specifically designed for retailers. A group of senior retail executives from leading firms are assembled to focus on topics of strategic importance to retailers. The executives candidly share information and new ideas that are working to keep their organizations ahead of their competition.

The annual Retailing Smarter symposium brings together a diverse group of retails and industry participants for two days of speakers, panels, roundtables and networking.

Accommodations

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

The hotel rate is $155.00 per night for single or double occupancy.

Reservations can be made directly with the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, at 1-407-390-6664. When making reservations, be sure to mention that you will be attending the University of Florida Retailing Symposium. Reservations should be made no later than May 25, 2008.

Cancellations will be 72 hours prior to arrival, and a cancellation number is obtained. If the reservation is no longer required and is not cancelled prior to this time, the reservation will be released and subsequent room and tax charges will be billed to the credit card on file. An early departure fee of $50.00 will be charged for guests who depart one or more days prior to their scheduled departure date.

Fees

  • $545 per person for Non-Sponsoring company participants;
    $495 each when more than one individual attends from the same company.
  • $445 per person for Miller Center for Retailing Sponsoring company participants and members of the Florida Retail Federation;
    $395 each when more than one individual attends from the same company.
  • $375 each for academics and/or alumni.
  • $220 per person for students.

Early Registration: Receive a $100 discount if you register before April 18, 2008.

Cancellation Policy: Refund, less an administrative fee of $50.00 will be made for all cancellations received in writing prior to MAY 26, 2008. No refunds will be made after that date, but a substitution of attendees may be made by notifying the Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research.
