Walgreens Certificate in Retailing Leadership
The Center awards the Walgreens Certificate in Retailing Leadership to students who have demonstrated an interest in retailing by successfully completing the following requirements while maintaining high academic standards:
- Completion of the Introduction to Retailing Systems and Management
- Satisfactory completion of the Sears Retail Seminar class
- Completion of the Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Business Finance and Problem Solving Using Computer Software courses
- Satisfactory completion of an internship with a retailer
- Graduation with no less than the grade point average required to graduate from the Warrington College of Business Administration (whether or not the student is a business student).
- Application should be submitted by the student to the Center for the Walgreens certificate prior to graduation.
The Certificate is not a major or a minor. It is a certification of commitment to the retailing industry demonstrated by the student through excelling in the retail courses and activities offered at the University of Florida. By following the guidelines for the certificate created by the Miller Center for Retailing, students can supplement their education with coursework that creates more marketable retail leaders.
