Body of Knowledge on Infrastructure Regulation
The Body of Knowledge on Infrastructure Regulation (BoKIR) web site is an online resource for utility professionals, policy-makers, and academics focusing on regulatory reform and the promotion of strong performance in energy, telecommunications, water, and transportation.
The BoKIR web site includes tutorials, literature surveys, and self-paced tests on infrastructure management and reform in emerging markets. The online glossary has been translated into French, Portuguese, and Spanish, and an Italian translation of the glossary is forthcoming. PPIAF has provided funding for this initiative.
The BoKIR was originally developed in 2006 in collaboration with researchers from Université de Toulouse and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, with funding from The World Bank and Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility.
