Undergrad Takes 1st Place in International Charrette
Sylvia Borek, a graduating senior and one of Warrington's top students, recently won first place in the 2nd Annual ACRA (American Collegiate Retailing Association) Charrette in Toronto, Canada.

WCBA School of Business Wins Green Business Award
The City of Gainesville Nature Operations Division presented an award to Warrington College of Business Administration Warrington Welcome students and staff for their efforts in removing exotic plants from many of the City's nature parks and conservation areas. This group provided over 800 community service hours in nine days, demonstrating true civic spirit which contributed immeasurably to the health of Gainesville ecosystems.

WCBA Changes Transfer Admissions Policies
To remain within the limits outlined by UF's administration, transfer students will only be considered for the fall semester; future spring and summer term transfer admission is being eliminated. In addition, the WCBA will no longer admit transfer students from outside the Florida community college system.

Undergrads Earn Top Honors in Business Strategy Challenge at Georgetown University
WCBA Team members Sarah Anasorri, Leilani Diaz, Justin Fung, and Shea Parrish claimed the top spot for the University of Florida in Washington, D.C. at the fourth annual Business Strategy Challenge at Georgetown University.

UF SIFE Team Receives Recognition at USA Regional Competition
The University of Florida SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) team returned to Gainesville as winners after participating in the Orlando, FL SIFE USA Regional Competition on April 7, 2008. The event was one of 16 SIFE USA Regional Competitions being held across the United States in March and April.

Undergrads Take 1st Place at Wake Forest Case Challenge
Four students from the Warrington College of Business Administration earned a first place finish at the 18th Annual Undergraduate Marketing Case Challenge, which took place February 7-10, 2008. Team members Sarah Anassori (marketing '08), Matthew Kuhl (economics '09), Sashi Mylavarapu (finance '09), and Catherine Nguyen (finance '09) were named winners of the competition, held during the annual Marketing Summit hosted by Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
