Gainesville, Fla. - The University of Florida SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) team finished second runner-up, making UF one of the top 48 teams in the country, in the SIFE National Exposition held April 10-12, 2009 in Philadelphia.

The University of Florida SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) team returned to Gainesville as winners after participating in the Orlando, Fla. SIFE USA Regional Competition on March 23, 2009. The event was one of 16 SIFE USA Regional Competitions being held across the United States in March and April.

Graduates of the Warrington College earned the #16 spot overall from recruiters surveyed for the 2009 BusinessWeek Top Undergraduate Programs rankings. Released March 1, 2009 the rankings placed Florida at #20 overall among the country's public programs. UF also scored well for value, as #2 among all undergraduate programs in the nation.

Gustavo Bartczak, a senior in the Warrington College of Business Administration, is the winner of a $5,000 Freeman-ASIA scholarship award. Gustavo, a Coral Springs resident, will use the prize this Fall semester to study in China at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

The City of Gainesville Nature Operations Division presented an award to Warrington College of Business Administration Warrington Welcome students and staff for their efforts in removing exotic plants from many of the City's nature parks and conservation areas. This group provided over 800 community service hours in nine days, demonstrating true civic spirit which contributed immeasurably to the health of Gainesville ecosystems.

WCBA Changes Transfer Admissions Policies
To remain within the limits outlined by UF's administration, transfer students will only be considered for the fall semester; future spring and summer term transfer admission is being eliminated. In addition, the WCBA will no longer admit transfer students from outside the Florida community college system.
