Online Business Courses
For Campus-Based Students Away from UF
Each semester, the Warrington College of Business Administration provides campus-based students who are away from Gainesville with the opportunity to take UF business courses online. This service allows both degree seeking and non-degree seeking students to view course lectures via streaming video and take proctored exams on specific days at one of 26 test sites in Florida. To participate, you must meet college and university computer requirements and have a GatorLink account. Note: Campus-based students who are in Gainesville are not permitted to register for these courses.
Non-Florida Residents: You are welcome to enroll in online business courses while you are away from Gainesville, but you will need to make travel arrangements to an established Florida test site up to four times per term per course to take exams. The program currently offers no test sites outside of Florida.

Registration
To apply to take online courses while you are away from Gainesville, complete the Online Course Request Form and return it to the School of Business in 267 Stuzin Hall, fax the form to us at 352-846-0186, or email it as an attachment. Once your form has been processed, an advisor will email you with the section number(s) you need to add the online course(s) to your schedule. Note: The Online Course Request Form is not required for ISM3004.

Fees
Effective with the Spring 2008 term, tuition rates are as follows: $157.97 per credit hour for Florida residents; $599.65 per credit hour for non-Florida residents who began UF prior to Summer B 2005; and $622.86 per credit hour for non-Florida residents who start UF during Summer B 2005 or later. Note: Students pay regular UF fees for ISM3004.

Fall Semesters
ECP 3703 Managerial Economics
Credits: 4; Prereq: ECO 2023 and MAC 2233. Students may not receive credit for both ECO 3100, ECO 3101 and ECP 3703. Primarily designed for majors in the Warrington College of Business Administration. Not for liberal arts economics majors.
Analysis of the firm's decisions regarding prices, outputs and inputs, advertising, etc. under various market conditions. Reliance is placed upon both theories and applications.
FIN 3403 Business Finance
Credits: 4; Prereq: ACG 2021C and junior standing or ACG 2021C, ECO 2023 and sophomore standing.
The acquisition and management of funds by business. A grade of B or better is required in FIN 3403 and ECP 3703 to register for required finance major courses.
ISM 3004 Computing in the Business Environment
Credits: 4; Prereq: basic skills for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet.
Presents fundamental concepts from two perspectives-that of the individual business computer user and corporate business computing environment. Course will enable students to become familiar with common business computing applications; it is not a "hands on" applications training course. Students will use their existing computer skills to complete assignments.

Fundamentals of management underlying the solution of problems of organization and operation of business enterprises. (S)
MAN 3240 Organizations: Structure & Behavior
Credits: 4; Prereq; MAN3025
Individual, group, and organizational issues that affect and shape businesses. Topics include individual differences, motivation, communication, decision making, leadership, power, organizational structure and design, and change.
MAN 4504 Operations & Supply Chain Management
Credits: 4; Prereq: MAC 2233, STA 2023 and junior standing or ECO 2023, MAC 2233, STA 2023 and sophomore standing. BA and AC majors only.
Managerial concepts and quantitative tools required in the design, operation, and control of production systems and their relationship to business functions.
MAR 3023 Principles of Marketing
Credits: 4; Prereq: ECO 2013 and sophomore standing.
Functions, institutions and methods of marketing goods and services. Relates marketing to the larger economic structure and emphasizes the importance of the consumer. (S)
QMB 3250 Business Statistics
Credits: 4; Prereq: STA 2023. Open only to students who need this course for their major or have permission from the WCBA.
Correlation and linear regression, model building, multiple regression, analysis of variance, analysis and decision analysis. Regression modeling with computer applications for business problems.
REE 3043 Real Estate Analysis
Credits: 4; Prereq: ACG 2021C or AEB 3133 or AEB 3144 or BCN 4753 or FIN 2106.
Principles of real estate decision making within the context of our economic, social, legal and political-governmental systems.

BUL 4310 Legal Environment of Business
Credits: 4; Prereq: junior or sophomore standing with ECO 2023.
Introduction to the legal environment of business and organizations. Emphasis on public and regulatory law and on the social, political and ethical aspects of legal issues in business. Subjects include the nature of law and legal process; administrative law of contracts and torts; business and the constitution; statutory and common law; contracts and torts; business organizations and securities, antitrust, consumer protection and employment law.

Systematically designed course based on the cognitive information processing theory for career problem solving and decision-making. The course is delivered via modularized multi-media instructional materials. The course is designed to inform students about career planning and management interventions and to accommodate students at different levels of decidedness about their career aspirations.
