Graduation & Honors
Graduating students are encouraged to participate in commencement exercises. Your family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating your accomplishments. Commencement exercises are free and open to the public; tickets or reservations are not required.
To receive a diploma and participate in commencement, you must complete the UF Graduation Checklist, which includes the submission of an online degree application by the established deadline.

The UF Commencement webpage has important information on obtaining cap and gowns, ceremony schedules, and commencement etiquette and instructions. Visitor information such as hotel and restaurant guides, a campus map, and parking information is also provided on this site.
Note: Graduates who take part in commencement exercises (and their guests) must be willing to stay for the entire ceremony. You will not be permitted to leave early.
